The Toyota FT-1 (future Toyota) concept is not a real car but only a concept designed by the Carly design research. Classy, fabulous and glamorous are the words i would use to describe the idea. The car when fully operational, will bring with it a classy experience where luxury blends with elegance and will give the true meaning of quality. With its excellent as well as superior qualities, the Toyota concept would be a classical sports car first designed to be featured in GT6 racing game. The concept also incorporates design influences from Calty’s more recent sports car concept work such as FT-HS (2007) and the Lexus LF-LC (2012). The concept model is 10% larger than a real world vehicle.
Body Design
Designed by Carly has an exterior where its horsepower hugs the tyres near the body hence making the rear wheels flare out. It was conceptualized with three designs in combination. There is a cabin in place for the driver, four distinct areas each for the four wheels and also as torso made for the car’s engine. The model has a trip edged tail meant for stability and to allow the brakes to cool. Its front air intakes that are extended to all rear diffuser for aerodynamics. Also the ventilators at the front have been designed to release pressure that is in the front wheelhouse. In addition the car has a wrapped windshield, a double3 bubbled roof like that of some indigenous GT models. For most sports cars, a pillar is a vital part in the car. This model has a pillar located at the rare in the body giving it classic styling. The Carly have designed the model with side mirrors that have reverse loop. This makes sure the stalk does not block the turn in view in a corner or bent.
Latest Interiors
This concept model design has a smoked engine cover consisting of a mere golf cart electric motor enough to move the rolling display around. Cabin design used was like that of the indigenous 1965 Toyota GT models. It has an instrument panel head up display. Data display atop the steering wheel rim. The display provides various projections onto its fighter like pane hum. All the information required while at speed is displayed here. A click pad interface with four quadrant based buttons with all functions centralized here enabling the driver’s hands to remain focused only on the wheel when driving. The buttons are reachable with the fingers without having to move the head. All the unneeded information is virtually pushed into lower dock where traditional gauges are usually placed. There is also soft place for the arm or leg to rest. The other two pedals, the brake and gas are on the floor other than hanging from above.
Technology at use
It is similar to the supra in the technology used. The FT however has racing finger prints all over it.
Market estimates
The model would be a classical racing car with an estimate of about $50000-$60000 price tag.
The Toyota FT-1 may become the next supra having been designed most in the same way as the Toyota supra.
When car starts flocking the market, all you need is your driving licence or even a Provisional driving licence you can take a ride with it.
